A glorious mix of mud, forest trail, and mountain running.
Race Distances
Dare Valley 10k - 6.5 miles - 1000ft ascent
Dare Valley Half-Marathon - 13.1miles - 1942ft ascent
Double Dare Full Marathon is 2 laps of the half marathon course - 26.2miles - 4000ft ascent
Note: All race distances are 'country miles'. What are country miles? The can best be described as 'approximate'! But don't worry, there won't be that much in it...

Fully marked with running arrows and flags.

Start Times

Please be at the start line 10 minutes before the race start.

Car Parking
PLEASE NOTE THE SEPARATE LOCATIONS!
Marathon ONLY - The car park for the marathon runners is the main entrance to the park (off of Monk Road) and is reached at CF44 7RG. Car parking for the Marathon opens at 0630.
Half Marathon and 10K - The car park for these races is at the BACK of the park and can be reached from Bwllfa Road, postcode CF44 8UH. This car park is open from 8am.
Car parking is included in the event cost.
Time Limit
All courses close at 4pm giving very generous time limits for the event as set out below-
10k - 5 hours
Half marathon - 6 hours
Marathon- 8 hours
Kit
Bottle or plastic cup if water is required from checkpoints
Phone with race HQ number on
Waterproof top
Headwear suitable for conditions (warm hat, sun hat or trail revolution buff)
Spare long sleeve running top or base layer - if conditions are poor!
Device with the GPS route on it. Most people will use a phone app, but it may also be a gps watch or handheld gps device.
